Chukar Partridge Hunts
We take you and your dog, if desired, in a drift boat into the middle of chukar heaven. Our dogs hunt chukars all season and that is the only bird they hunt. They are serious, well-read, and primed for finding, pointing, and retrieving birds. It is their favorite thing to do, and watching them is one of ours. Rest assured that we will be as serious about chukar hunting as you like here at Wapiti and will go as hard (or not) as you wish in pursuing birds.
What to Expect
The river is beautiful from the high vistas we often negotiate to find birds. Panoramic views of a canyon that is over a mile deep in some places will take your breath away.
We limit each boat to two guests and dogs, and have a baggage raft that takes gear and sets up camp on multi-day trips. This maximizes our hunting and fishing time before moving downriver.
This trip can be physically demanding. The steep hillsides require good physical shape. Guests not able to get around well might enjoy hunting lower elevations earlier in the season, weather permitting. When you call, we will assist you in selecting a trip to meet your needs.
Trips can also be combined with steelhead fishing.
Pricing Details
Fishing & Chukar Hunt (per person price)
5 Day / $2600
Price includes: BLM use fee, camping equipment, hearty meals, and fishing gear if you are combining fishing and hunting. Tents offer standing room and the cots make for an incredibly comfortable sleep.
Price does NOT include: Hunting and fishing license, shells, and dog food if you bring your own dog.
